About Me

Most athletes are never actually taught how to care for their bodies at the level they train. They are told to push harder, trust the system, and take what is handed to them — but not how to fuel, recover, or protect their health safely and legally. That gap is what led me to become a Clinical Sports Pharmacist. The wellness industry is filling that gap every day, but athletes deserve a healthcare professional trained to evaluate medications, supplements, fueling, and treatment decisions safely to protect the athlete while always considering career longevity and the future health of the athlete.

Why Clinical Sports Pharmacy

Pharmacists are the only healthcare professionals formally trained in drug metabolism, nutrient interactions, supplement safety, and physiological response under stress. Athletes live in a constant state of physiological stress. That means performance is chemistry — and too often, no one is managing that chemistry correctly.

What Athletes Are Missing

  • Safe and legal support for performance and recovery
  • Education on fueling, supplements, and medication risks
  • Systems that integrate health with high-level training demands

Why It Matters

  • Training stress changes how the body responds to nutrition and medication
  • Recovery, injury risk, and taper outcomes are heavily chemistry-driven
  • Generic advice often fails athletes performing at a high level

Where I Come In

  • Clinical review of the athlete as a whole system
  • Performance-focused decision making grounded in pharmacology
  • Practical, athlete-specific strategies that work in real environments

What Makes My Approach Different

I do not operate like traditional sports nutrition or generic sports medicine. My work sits at the intersection of multiple disciplines and is informed by both clinical and competitive environments.

Interdisciplinary Foundation

Pharmacology Sports Physiology Performance Nutrition Anti-Doping & Safety

My framework is built for athletes whose bodies are under constant stress, where performance and healthcare cannot be separated.

Real-World Application

  • Division I athletics
  • High-level coaching environments
  • Hospital-based clinical pharmacy
  • Emergency medicine and critical care

Applied Experience

  • Managed complex patient care in hospital systems
  • Participated in disaster medical response teams
  • Built sports nutrition systems that improved championship performance outcomes
  • Identified injury risks before they presented clinically
  • Designed athlete-specific taper and fueling strategies

This is not theory. This is applied clinical performance medicine.

Coaching & Athlete Development Impact

At the high school and club level, I have worked directly inside team systems to improve athlete outcomes across entire seasons and championship environments.

Inside Team Systems

  • Improved performance outcomes at championship meets
  • Reduced cramping, fatigue, and illness during season
  • Implemented team-wide fueling systems
  • Built sports nutrition education for athletes and parents
  • Supported injury prevention and recovery protocols

Results

  • Higher percentage of athletes performing better in finals versus prelims
  • Significant increases in lifetime best times
  • State champions, All-Americans, and nationally ranked athletes
  • Development of top-ranked recruits
This is what happens when athlete healthcare is done correctly.

Education & Athletic Foundation

My perspective was shaped by both clinical training and years inside competitive athletic systems built around excellence, discipline, and performance.

Academic Training

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) – University of Houston
  • Magna Cum Laude (GPA 3.75)
  • Banner Bearer, College of Pharmacy Graduation

Athletic Background

  • Division I NCAA Swimmer
  • 3-year varsity letter
  • High school multi-sport varsity athlete
  • Played 9 Sports Before the Age of 14
  • 1-year College Club Lacrosse Team

Coaching Lineage Influence

I was trained in environments built by Olympic-level coaching lineages, including coaches connected to USA Olympic teams, NCAA championship programs, and international swim systems. That foundation shaped how I think about performance today.
